Famed Canadian pop star Celine Dion turned to social media on Wednesday night (Manila time) to share her photos in Paris as rumors surfaced that she would perform at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

On Instagram, Dion uploaded photos of her enjoying The Louvre.

"Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world.  I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!," she captioned her post.

A report published by Variety.com on July 23 said that Dion "looks set to make her return to the stage at the Olympic Games, and it’s rumored to be during the opening ceremony on Friday."

It will mark Dion's first performance after she cancelled her 2023-2024 shows because of her rare neurological disorder.

In December 2022, Dion revealed that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

In 1996, Dion performed "The Power of Dream" at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Lisa of megastar girl group Blackpink will perform at this year's Academy Awards, becoming the first K-pop idol to perform at the prestigious film ceremony.

On its X (formerly Twitter) account, the Academy announced early Tuesday that the Thai artist would take the stage of the 97th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, to be held on March 2 (US date) at the Dolby Theatre in California.

Lisa will be joined by American rapper Doja Cat and British singer-songwriter Raye, whom she collaborated with for her single "Born Again," released in early February.

Disney+ earlier said it would stream the Oscars live for Filipinos on March 3 (Philippine date).
