MANILA -- Veteran Kapamilya singer Gary Valenciano trended on social media because of his concert poster.

The singer's social media team uploaded a black-and-white photo of his poster on Friday night for his upcoming concert tour in California in August. 

In the comments section, netizens were seemingly worried, as they mistakenly identified the concert poster as an obituary photo of the iconic singer. 

The veteran singer on Saturday said he's "very much alive" and since his "Gary V INSPIRED" concert is a two-night show, the poster has also two versions. 

"HAHAHHAHA ok everyone… Chill. I know you all got scared… But I’m very much alive and very much excited for these two nights of full inspiration with Gabriel Valenciano. I’ll see you there k?" Valenciano said in the caption. 

The Kapamilya singer earlier explained that he's trying to limit the "big concerts" but also clarified that he still intends to perform in smaller, more intimate venues in the future.

"Lahat tayo ay dadating din sa punto ng buhay natin na 'yung nasa isip naitn, kaya pa nating gawin. Pero 'yung katawan, hindi nagma-match doon," Valenciano explained. "Ang gusto ko lang sabihin sa inyo ay tuloy-tuloy pa rin 'yung mga concerts. Maaaring hindi sa malalaking venue tulad ng MOA or Araneta Coliseum, pero sa mga venue tulad nito, na medyo mas malapit kayo sa akin, mas intimate 'yung mga okasyon. That's what I'm looking forward to."
