MANILA -- OPM singer-composer Ogie Alcasid opened ABS-CBN's noontime program "It's Showtime" on Thursday.

For madlang people and viewers, Alcasid, the hitmaker, performed the reimagined version of his 90s' hit "Mahal Kita Walang Iba."

In the show, Alcasid shared more about his OPM love song.

"(Noong) 1992 actually isinulat ko itong kanta na ito at ang aking intention ay maipakilala ulit sa kabataan itong awitin kong 'Mahal Kita, Walang Iba.' Ganito kami humugot noong araw," Alcasid said.

"Ganyan kami noong araw, imbes na sumusulat ng letter, sumusulat kami ng kanta," he added.



The reimagined version of "Mahal Kita Walang Iba" is now available on various music streaming platforms.
