The 27-year-old actress and beauty queen met the press on Wednesday in Quezon City to announce her comeback.

“Na-hospital ang dad ko for two and a half months dito sa Philippines. ‘Yung nerves niya became sensitive. Very rare ‘yung sakit niya. Inalagaan ko siya and my mom. Nag-ICU siya,” Day said.

“All at once siya,” she shared. “It took me like a year and a half. I did not go out for 10 months. I couldn’t drive. I couldn’t go to the mall. I was locked down for myself for like almost one year.”

“After 10 months, I did my first driving na 3-minute drive. When I was successful with that, I started crying kasi I was so happy kasi akala ko noong time na ‘yun that I will never be able to drive or go out. I was so scared talaga to go anywhere,” the actress added.

“Sa panic disorder, you have the fear of panic attack. Basically, when you worry about panicking, magko-cause siya ng panic attack. Para siyang vicious cycle of thoughts,” she told the media.

I think ‘yung breakthrough ko was when na-hospitalize ‘yung dad ko. ‘Yung adrenaline mo kapag mataas, tapos it will drop, survival mode eh. Then nung naging okay na ‘yung dad ko, nag-drop ‘yung adrenaline then that’s when it can trigger some changes in your chemicals.”

“I plan to venture into movies and teleserye. Kung magpa-sexy, okay lang. Siguro if may experience na ako sa acting. Ayaw ko naman na basta maghubad lang. I have my own personal limitation. Open naman ako to explore my acting ability,” she said.

She was crowned as Miss Eco International First Runner Up in 2021. She said she was considering joining beauty pageant again.

As part of her preparations for her comeback, Day makes sure that she feels good inside and out. She thanked her family, non-showbiz boyfriend, and manager Len Carrillo for their support.

“Actually nag-gain ako ng 5 kilos during my recovery. I’m doing a carnivore diet. Pure meat and eggs and butter. Good siya not just for weight control but also hormonal, anxiety, depression, autoimmune disorder. I haven’t had any sugar and carbs for like a couple of weeks. I feel good. I sleep better. I don’t feel bloated,” she said.
