K-drama starring Shin Min-a, Kim Young-dae coming to Prime Video

Shin Min-a and Kim Young-dae lead the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama 'No Gain No Love.' Photos courtesy of Prime VideoA romantic comedy K-drama starring Shin Min-a and Kim Young-dae is coming to Prime Video in August, the streaming service said Wednesday.

The series titled "No Gain No Love" follows the story of Son Hae-yeong (Min-a), who has faced significant losses in both her family and love life. Now, she is on the verge of missing a crucial promotion at work.

To prevent this setback, Hae-yeong proposes a fake marriage to her neighborhood convenience store employee, Kim Ji-uk (Young-dae).

"No Gain No Love" marks Min-a's return to a series project, two years after her last drama "Our Blues," Renowned as a queen of rom-coms, Min-a has captivated viewers through past series such as "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," "Oh My Venus," and "My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho."

Young-dae, meanwhile, is known for starring in the dramas "Extraordinary You" and "The Penthouse: War In Life." In 2022, he landed his first leading role in "Sh**ting Stars," where he was paired with Lee Sung-kyung.

The cast also includes Lee Sang-yi, who also appeared in "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," and Han Ji-hyun, whose previous shows  include "The Penthouse: War in Life" and "Cheer Up."

Sang-yi portrays Bok Gyu-hyun, a third-generation chaebol and the CEO at Hae-yeong's company. Meanwhile, Ji-hyun plays Nam Ja-yeon, Hae-yeong's friend and roommate, who is a popular web novel writer.

"No Gain No Love" premieres on Prime Video on August 26. New episodes will be released weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays.
