Kim Domingo on "Batang Quiapo." ABS-CBN

MANILA — Actress Kim Domingo is the latest addition to the cast of "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" and will be playing the role of Madonna.

Domingo was revealed in the show's Tuesday episode, marking her first project with ABS-CBN.

It was not immediately clear if Madonna will be a new love interest for Coco Martin's character, Tanggol. It also remains to be seen if she will be a friend or foe to the show's protagonist.

In the latest episode, Tanggol was surprised to see that he was being followed by someone who appeared to want to kill him. When Tanggol caught up, Domingo's face was revealed; she later on escaped.

Tanggol's current love interest is Bubbles, played by Ivana Alawi. Lovi Poe's Mokang was the protagonist's first love interest since "Batang Quiapo" began in 2023.

Last week the show reached a new viewership record at 556,203 peak concurrent viewers -- or those watching on Kapamilya Online Live at the same time.

In the said episode, which aired on July 10, Tanggol (Coco Martin) found out who killed Mokang (Lovi Poe) in January.
