MANILA -- After hitting gold with his hit "Dilaw" and getting the historic number one spot at the very first issue of Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 chart, ABS-CBN Music is already planning the first-ever solo concert of singer-songwriter Maki.

Currently, Maki has more than 6.5 monthly listeners on the audio-streaming platform Spotify, and the music video for "Dilaw" has topped the YouTube video charts.

According to ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan, they have been receiving requests for Maki to have his own solo concert.

“Ang dami nang request for Maki na magkaroon ng concert, so we are planning for his first solo concert talaga,” he said.

For Maki, this is the fruition of his life-long dream.

“Ito po talaga 'yung sinasabi kong dream ko, so sana di ba matuloy talaga. Pupunta ba kayong lahat? Kung meron man talaga, sana suportahan niyo po, claim natin yan! Gagalingan ko diyan, sobra-sobra!” said Maki.

There are also requests for a possible collaboration between Maki and the nation’s girl group BINI, who are both signed under ABS-CBN Music.

“Sinasabi namin, why not? Magkakaibigan sila eh. Magkakasabay sila. Halos sabay silang nag-start, and it’s a new group. New era ng music. Itong sila Maki, Hev Abi, TJ Monterde, BINI, Cup of Joe -- it’s a good time for the music industry, for OPM,” Liquigan said.
