MANILA — Anchor-journalist and ABS-CBN News’ chief of reporters Jeff Canoy met his “Goin Bulilit” look-alike Jordan Lim also known as Jeep Canoy.

Lim was part of the newest edition of the kiddie gag show's “GB Patrol,” a parody segment of ABS-CBN’s flagship news program “TV Patrol,” along with other child actors who portray other Kapamilya news anchors.

On TV Patrol Express' episode on Wednesday, Lim personally visited Canoy after his interview for a segment in the show "Tao Po."

According to Lim, he already had an idea of how Canoy talks and delivers his newscast.

“Nakikita ko po siya tuwing Express po,” Lim said to ABS-CBN News. ”Before the news talaga, I watch him po.”

Lim also shared that he didn’t even know that he would portray Canoy in “Goin' Bulilit."

“Actually surprised lang din po sa akin, kasi on the day that we’re doing it, binigay lang po sa akin ‘yung script, so wala po talagang preparations,” he said.

And for Canoy, he believes that the ‘Goin Bulilit’ parody segment will serve as an inspiration for the youth to consider journalism as a possible career.

“It’s nice na sila na ‘yung next generation kasi siyempre we want more journalists to enter the frame. Hopefully ‘yung mga ganitong pagbabalita or kahit na mga exposure sa mga kid show na ‘Goin Bulilit’ na ‘uy parang ayos pala maging reporter,”  Canoy said.

"Goin Bulilit" airs Mondays to Sunday before “TV Patrol.”
