MANILA — Up and coming singer Maki said his dream international collaboration is with K-Pop star Jungkook.

The "Dilaw" hitmaker also mentioned several local artists he wants to collaborate with, naming one as his inspiration both in writing and singing.

"Libre mangarap so sa international scene, si Jungkook. Sa local, isa sa mga inspiration ko talaga sa writing din ay si kuya TJ Monterde," Maki said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

"Of course, 'yung mga roots talaga ng OPM classics sila sir Johnoy [Danao] at Rey Valera," he continued.

When asked on the recent success of his song "Dilaw" in the Billboard PH and Spotify PH charts, Maki expressed his gratitude to those who supported his song as it was his dream to achieve such a feat.

"Dream ko po talaga na makaabot sa gano'ng achievement. Grabe po 'yung suporta ng maraming tao. Maraming salamat po sa patuloy na nakikinig ng songs ko. Salamat po sa pag-fulfill ng dream ko na ito," he said.

As of writing, "Dilaw" is at the top spot of the Billboard PH charts and at the second spot of the daily top 50 songs of Spotify PH, just next to BINI's "Salamin, Salamin."

The music video of "Dilaw" featured BINI's Maloi, whom Maki said was easy to work with.

"Grabe para na kaming best friends na nagbakasyon sa Pampanga. Sobrang napakadaling ka-work ni Maloi, sobrang gaan," he said.

When asked if he could reveal any teasers for his next project, Maki just said "ABS-CBN" and invited his fans to tune it to his future songs.
