On Monday, the six-piece act put out the summer-themed sophomore EP, which comes five months since their debut release "Sparkling Blue."

"If I'm S, Can You Be My N?" leads the six tracks of the new record.

"This song metaphorically likens our relationship to the south and north poles of a magnet, expressing the lovely excitement of discovering why opposites attract," member Kyungmin said of the single in an online media showcase.

"The upbeat melody narrates the journey of how distinct individuals gradually become one. The song perfectly captures the bright and refreshing energy of TWS just like 'Plot Twist,'" he added, referring to the group's debut single that sparked a popular dance challenge.

Along with the EP, TWS released a music video for "If I'm S, Can You be My N?", which Jihoon said "captures TWS' idea of a perfect summer filled with summery vibes."

Overall, "Summer Beat!" talks about "the evolving relationships that develop after the exhilarating first encounter, as depicted in [TWS'] debut mini album 'Sparkling Blue,'" label Pledis Entertainment explained in a press release.

"This six-track record celebrates the joy and excitement of being together, with tracks that are easy to sing along to and relatable," Pledis said.

TWS is the latest act from Pledis Entertainment, a label under the Korean entertainment giant HYBE, which also houses the phenomenal boy band SEVENTEEN. The group's sonic style is described as "boyhood pop," characterized by "nostalgic lyrics and refreshing melodies," according to Pledis.
