MANILA  - Raquel Pempengco, mother and former manager of trans man/entertainer Jake Zyrus, had nothing but praise for SB19 member Stell Ajero after his phenomenal performance in the recent "Hitman: David Forster and Friends" concert in Manila.

Ajero's version of the Eric Carmen song "All By Myself", made popular by Canadian songstress Celine Dion, went viral immediately after the concert after he nailed the ballad's difficult high notes (F5).

Zyrus also performed the song as Charice Pempengco in one of Foster's concerts in 2010, igniting Pempengco's career.

In a Facebook post, Raquel Pempengco likened Stell to another phenomenal Filipino singer while also referencing her child's previous performance.

"Gulatin mo din mga tao…mag-Charice Pempengco ka ulit…hahaha joke lang pero in fairness magaling si Stell Ajero…mala-Jed Madela din but still don’t compare with Charice," she said.

The singer, who came out as a trans man in 2017, said he is still grateful for Charice and all the experiences she had.

Meanwhile, Ajero continues to gain new fans who have discovered his amazing voice. Even Foster said he sees a bright future for the Pinoy singer.

"Wow! What a voice. And he is your very own. He's gonna have a major career ahead," Foster said during the concert.
