The South Korean teen drama "Hierarchy" claimed the top spot on Netflix's global list of non-English TV series, the streaming service said Wednesday.

In a press release, Netflix said the show, which premiered last June 7, ranked first on the list during its second week after garnering 6.3 million views.

"Hierarchy" — which stars up-and-coming actors Lee Chae-min, Roh Jeong-eui, Kim Jae-won, Ji Hye-won and Lee Won-jung — is about a transfer student who disrupts the order at an elite high school.

In a statement, the cast members expressed gratitude to the viewers.

Jeong-eui added: "I'm grateful to everyone involved in 'Hierarchy.' I love the 'Hierarchy' cast and thank them for becoming good friends."
