The song dropped on digital streaming platforms at midnight, along with the lyric video on YouTube. The official music video is scheduled to be unveiled at 7 p.m. on the same day.

In a social media post, Stell described his song as a pulsating dance anthem, with “hypnotic lyricism and funk-pop melody.”

“Room is a provocation to liberation — a manifesto to celebrate one’s authenticity and dance to the rhythm of your own heartbeat," he added.

The song was written and composed by music production duo  Radkidz, comprised of SB19 leader Pablo and his brother Josue, according to the credits listed on the streaming platform Spotify.

As a group, SB19 recently came out with “ Moonlight,” a collaboration with American record producer Ian Asher and Chinese artist Terry Zhong, and  “Ready” with Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap.

Prior to announcing his solo, Stell fueled excitement among their A’TIN fandom by uploading covers of the classic OPM songs "Walang Kapalit" by Rey Valera, “Yakap Sa Dilim” by APO Hiking Society, and “Para Sa 'Yo" by Sitti. He also sang “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R.

Fans initially speculated that he will officially release the ballad “Anino,” which he performed during SB19’s 2-day "PAGTATAG! Finale” concerts in May.

Stell will be performing as the opening act for Canadian artist  David Foster's "Hitman" concert in Manila on June 18. He is also joining OPM artist Erik Santos on his  "MilEStone " concert tour in US and Canada from June 22-30.

He is also holding a 2-day joint concert with Julie Anne San Jose titled "JulieXStell: Ang Ating Tinig" at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on July 28 and 29.
