MANILA -- Former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Fumiya Sankai is now a music artist and has released his debut single "Beng."

On Instagram, Sankai also announced that he is changing his screen name Fumiya to FuMi.

"Thanks to everyone who has supported Fumiya so far. And good bye. I will be reborn as an artist FuMi. I am to be a bridge between the Philippine and Japan, under the theme 'For u, Making impact.' The reason the U and I are in lowercase letter means that you and I are equal," Sankai wrote on his post, unedited.

"I am nothing without my fans. We are all the same. I am also a normal human being. I sing Tagalog, English, and Japanese in my songs. My music blends Japanese and Filipino cultures, creating a unique world that influences people. I will release my first song bukas. The title is 'Beng' Breaking out of my shell that I've been carrying I'll take you to a new world," he added.
