Coco Martin thankful as 'Pula' tops Netflix PH

MANILA -- Kapamilya leading man Coco Martin turned to social media to express his gratitude as his film "Pula" with girlfriend Julia Montes hit the No. 1 spot on Netflix's Top 10 movies in the Philippines.

In his Instagram post on Monday, Martin thanked all those who supported the movie project as he uploaded a screen grab of "Pula" leading the list on the giant streaming platform.

Directed by Brillante Mendoza, "Pula"  follows the story of a police officer who investigate a brutal  murder of a teenage girl that devastates his sleepy town.


Apart from Martin and Montes, the cast also includes Raymart Santiago, Lotlot De Leon, Alan Paule, Elizabeth Oropesa, Christine Bermas, Ina Alegre and Vince Rillon.

"Pula" marks the reunion project of Brillante and Martin.

Currently, Martin stars in the hit ABS-CBN primetime series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo."
