MANILA -- Actress Liza Dino-Seguerra has taken a bold step in the pursuit of justice by filing a cyber libel case against entertainment website PEP. 

Last week, Dino-Seguerra initiated legal action by filing 78 counts of cyber libel through four complaints against the entertainment website, as well as PEP editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, PEP news editor and writer Rachelle Siazon, former  Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairperson Tirso Cruz III, and the current FDCP chair Jose Javier Reyes.

 During the FAMAS Awards night on Sunday, Dino-Seguerra candidly shared her perspective on the legal proceedings. 

"Right now, we have filed a case and we have yet to hear from them. I guess it will take a week or something para ma-receive nila 'yung subpoena. But you know, I'm exercising my right to lay back my narrative. Napakalaki ng respeto ko sa press, alam niyo 'yan. Siguro kailangan din natin maging responsible sa paglalabas ng kung anong istorya. It's very important for us to understand what we are reporting is the truth," she said.

Singer-songwriter Ice Seguerra, the spouse of Liza Dino-Seguerra, voiced his solidarity with his wife's legal battle against PEP. "I'll support her in all ways. I'm being there for her, especially those months when it was happening, just being there always in every step of the way," he said.
