MANILA -- From singing and dancing to aerial stunts, and even painting, former Viva Hot Babe Sheree will showcase these and a lot more in her solo concert “L’Art de Sheree,” the culmination of her journey in the industry yet so far as well as her growth as an artist over the last two decades.

“That is the goal for this concert.  For this concert, I am telling a story, my whole career, what I went through. At the same time I am showcasing my skills and my music of course. Because not many know I am a signer before I became an actress. I wanted to use this outlet to showcase it,” Sheree explained in an interview Monday evening.

“I want to be different. I wanted to add a flavor. I trained very hard for years. I thought of adding skills to my music — this might be the first you will see me singing while pole dancing. There will be a lot of ‘buwis buhay’ stunts,” she added.

The show, which Sheree described as a mix of “burlesque, theater, and Cirque du Soleil,” seeks to empower women.

“Regardless if you will be sexy, it does not mean you want to be raped. You have to embrace sensuality. You have to embrace being a woman. It is really powerful. We can use our power to help other people. Women should help each other. That is the message of the concert,” she explained.

While “L’Art de Sheree” was inspired by the Crazy Horse in Paris, Sheree guaranteed the show will be wholesome.

"I was amazed with the kind of art. The difference here is they won't be naked because we are in the Philippines. My goal is to let everyone watch the show, even kids not just the parents. Sixteen and above,” she said.

Sheree also elaborated she has already opted to retire her sexy roles for her son.

“I had an experience, when a brother of the classmate was excited, called me and said, ‘I watched your film, 'Nerisa' and 'Sex Games.'’ I shushed him and said let’s just talk beside me. I was a bit scared when he shouted ‘Sex Games.’ That's when I realized it is time for me to switch to another path. I want to do roles without breast exposure,” she said.

She went on: “My son also spoke to me before ‘Mom, whatever it is you're doing, please stop.' I told him I had already decided long before that. But it was a wake-up call.”

But the actress clarified she has no regrets and is proud of the career she built.

“I am very thankful for Viva for giving the opportunity,” she said.

Sheree is hoping the May 24 show at the Music Museum in San Juan will be the first of many stops.

“I want to bring it in the provinces. My hope and dream is to make this show bigger. Hopefully it will be on the bigger stage. I plan to tour this also in the United States and Canada,” she enthused.

Apart from the performances Sheree will be exhibiting some of her paintings, which will be up for sale. Prices start at about P 300,000.
