MANILA -- Like many fans, Kapuso actor Alden Richards is also hopeful that the blockbuster hit "Hello, Love, Goodbye" will get a sequel.

"We are hoping for the best," Richards said in an interview on Sunday evening.

Richards, who portrayed Ethan, starred alongside Kathryn Bernardo, who played Joy in the 2019 Star Cinema project that was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. "Hello, Love, Goodbye" was the highest-grossing Philippine film of all time until January 2024, when it was surpassed by "Rewind."

Both artists, however, have yet to confirm if plans for a reunion movie is already in the works.

"Iyan ang hindi pa sure," Richards said.

"Wala pa sinasabi," Bernardo said in a separate interview.

Fans of Bernardo and Richards, or "KathDen," have been abuzz on social media ever since photos of the Kapamilya actress receiving a huge bouquet of flowers and a gift from the Kapuso actor were uploaded online last April.

Richards was asked on Sunday if he is courting Bernardo, but the actor only smiled and did not answer.
