MANILA — Kapamilya actress Kaila Estrada had a big responsibility to deliver the biggest revelation of "Can't Buy Me Love" aired Thursday.

Estrada's character, Bettina, was the person behind Divine's (Shaina Magdayao) death, the mother of protagonist Caroline (Belle Mariano). 

She was also the person behind the deaths of Annie (Ina Raymundo), Bingo's (Donny Pangilinan) mother, and her former lover Edward (Enzo Pineda) with the help of Manong Ibe (Cris Villanueva).

'Can't Buy Me Love': Bettina admits killing Divine

In the latest episode titled "You'll Be Unsafe Here," Caroline and Bingo were shocked when Bettina helped Manong Ibe and started to chase them. When she caught the couple, Bettina revealed that all she wanted was to own GLC, the Tius' business venture. 

"All I wanted was for Papa to acknowledge me, na kaya ko rin, na hindi ako walang kwenta sa pamilya natin," she said.

Bettina pinned the blame on their father Wilson's (Rowell Santiago) lack of attention for her, noting how she begged to be the COO of their company. 

"Pinili niya ako to be COO, yes, after I have to beg for it. Halos lumuhod ako para ibigay niya sa 'kin 'yun," Bettina said.

"All my life, wala na akong ibang ginawa kundi makiagaw sa attention niya dahil wala akong halaga, she added. 

Former child actress Jana Agoncillo played the young Bettina, who killed Caroline's mother.

"And you know what? Papa, doesn't even remember that I was with him the night that your mother died," Bettina recalled.

"Iniwan niya ako roon. Alam mo kung bakit? Dahil wala akong halaga. Hindi ako mahalaga sa kanya kasi he loves your mom so much, so much more than us, kami na totoong pamilya niya," she added. 

"May mahal niya pa rin kayo. Mas mahal niya pa rin kayo kaysa sa 'min." 

This also led to Bettina's revelation that she killed Edward for cheating on her, stressing how nobody loves her.

"Nobody loves me kahit si Edward, kahit siya. He betrayed me and people like him deserve to die," she said.

She also admitted how she planned on taking over GLC with the help of Manong Ibe who killed Annie.

"Akala niyo pumunta ako ng Amerika, but no. I was with him this whole time to plan everything and to get everyone that blocks my way. I had no choice, your mother ruined all of my plans," she said. 

When the Tius arrived, Bettina pointed out how she was left out in the family.

"Why, Ma? Di ba si Ahia naman mas importante sa 'yo. Even you, Irene. Ako 'yung kakampi mo, di ba?" Bettina said.

"Malaki ang naging pagkukulang ko sa inyong lahat lalo na sa iyo, Bettina. You are the most responsible, the strongest, most independent among your siblings. Akala ko, kaya mo na lahat. I admit na minsan nakakalimutan kita. That's because I thought, hindi mo na ako kailangan," Wilson replied.

"You're wrong. I'm not strong but I tried to be because I had to. I have no one else. Kung hindi si Caroline, si Ahia lagi mong hinahanap kahit naman siya ang unang tumalikod sa pamilya natin."

Bettina confessed that she has to be strong on her own just to survive while watching her siblings have their parents on their side.

"Even you, Mama, nung bumalik dito si Ahia ni isang beses wala akong narinig na masama from you. Kahit si Irene, kahit ano'ng sakit ng ulo dinadala niya sa pamilya natin, iniintindi niyo pa rin siya," the middle child said. 

"And of course, Carlo, ikaw pinakaunang nakakuha ng pinakamataas na posisyon sa GLC kahit alam nating lahat na mas magaling ako sa kanya pero nung ako na, nung ako na, ano'ng ginawa niyo?" she added.

"Pinalayo niyo ako, pinadala niyo ako sa Amerika. Iniintindi n'yo pa ang iskandalo kaysa sa akin. I needed my family to be there pero pinalayo niyo ako."

With her attempt to kill Caroline, authorities shot Bettina and arrested her for her crimes.
