MANILA -- Actor Gerald Anderson expressed his support for the comeback movie project of his girlfriend Julia Barretto and her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia, also known as JoshLia.

"It's exciting para sa mga fans nila, siyempre 'di ba? I'm not sure ilang years ago sila huling nagkasama. But I'd been in that situation. Alam ko na marami silang mapapasaya na fans nila. They are both great actors, so alam natin na magiging quality 'yung ilalabas nilang proyekto," Anderson told Cinema One in an interview.

Last week, it was announced that after three years, Garcia and Barretto will be doing a comeback movie titled "Un/happy For You" under Star Cinema and VIVA Films.

Directed by Petersen Vargas and written by Kookai Labayen, Crystal San Miguel, and Jen Chuaunsu, "Un/happy For You" will be be released later this year.  

Garcia and Barretto's tandem was first established in the 2016  movie "Vince, Kath & James." This was followed by "Love You to the Stars and Back" and "Unexpectedly Yours" in 2017. The following year, they did another movie "I Love You Hater."

In 2020, they starred in the zombie film "Block Z." They last worked in the music video for Moira dela Torre's "Paubaya" in 2021.

After being a real life couple, Garcia and Barretto broke up in 2019.
