K-pop group aespa announces 1st album 'Armageddon'

On its X (formerly Twitter) page, the four-member band unveiled late Sunday a teaser video for the record titled "Armageddon," which would be released on May 27.

The group will drop the pre-release single "Supernova" on May 13, while lead single "Armageddon" will come out on the same day as the album, it said in a separate post.

Composed of Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning, aespa debuted in November 2020 under SM Entertainment with the single "Black Mamba." The group is also known for songs like "Next Level," "Spicy" and "Drama."

The quartet's concert film, "aespa: WORLD TOUR in cinemas," is set to screen in Philippine movie houses from April 24 to 27.

aespa previously visited the Philippines in April 2023, performing alongside The Boyz at Girls' Generation's Taeyeon at the K-Verse: The Ultimate Pop Universe concert.
