MANILA -- Thousands of fans showed up at the event area of Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City for the "Talaarawan" mall show of the nation's girl group, BINI.

The "Blooms," as the group's fan base is called, began camping out as early as noon. By 5 p.m., when BINI arrived, the crowd already numbered at around five thousand, according to the security and safety team and officers of the mall.

By the time the actual show began past 6:00 p.m., the thousands of fans eagerly sang along with BINI as they performed three songs for their fans -- "Karera," "Salamin, Salamin," and the viral smash hit, "Pantropiko."

After the one-hour show, the estimated final crowd attendance by mall officials reached as high as 8,000 -- a record for Market! Market! and for BINI as well.

"Last mall show natin was [for the] 'Feel Good' album. Ang difference noon is, doon maraming Blooms, pero dumadaan sa gilid. Nanonood lang, dumadaan lang, literal," said BINI leader Jhoanna Robles. "Pero eto, punong-puno, parang butas ng karayom."

"Sobrang overwhelming," she added. "Kahit every day siya nangyayari, pero parang hindi pa rin namin natatanggap. Para pa rin kaming nasa ulap, sa totoo lang."

"Speechless talaga. Ako, BINI member na ako, pero nakatulala ako kanina," said Stacey Sevilleja. "Kasi, totoo ba 'tong mga 'to? O aswang lang sila? Sobrang OA talaga. Hindi po namin alam paano nag-multiply 'yung Blooms nami, pero we are very, very grateful."

Mikha Lim was once again shocked by the sea of fans that showed up for them. "I can't help but feel grateful and overwhelmed. Because we waited for this moment, and targeting this goal of ours, maybe to reach international, and now that we are here, we’re on our steps going there," she said.

On Saturday, BINI also held an event sponsored by a smart phone in another mall in Quezon City, which was packed with fans as well.

BINI's stardom has risen exponentially since the start of the year, with the girl group selling out their first ever solo concert, "BINIverse," in June while also reaching new milestones in streaming services.

"Pantropiko" has just breached the 20-million mark in streams while their monthly listeners have doubled in a matter of two weeks -- from 1.3 million to 2.6 million. Meanwhile, "Salamin, Salamin" has reached 7.3 streams to date, and seven of their songs are on Spotify's Viral 50 Philippines chart.
