MANILA -- Beauty queen and actress Kylie Verzosa opened up about the lessons she learned from her previous relationships, including her breakup with ex-boyfriend Jake Cuenca.

"Yung mga relationship ko super long relationships," Verzosa told Ogie Diaz for his YouTube show. "I wouldn't say It's traumatic. Part siya ng life that I really learned from, that I appreciated na feeling ko kailangan namin both pagdaanan. Happy ako where I am now, and I'm so happy where he is now, and I only wish him the best."

Looking back on her heartaches, Versoza said she never vented on social media.

"Hindi ako ma-ganun e, kasi I think personal issues should be resolved in person and between two people. I don't see the point where supposed it's supposed to be shared with other people because there is no point in sharing something problematic. Problems should be solved in person between two people especially if it's a very private matter," she explained.

Recalling how she handled her emotions, the actress revealed that she waits when she is alone.

"Siyempre behind everything, behind closed doors, doon na ako nagbe-breakdown. Du'n ko na nilalabas lahat... days, months, hindi ko lang siya pinapakita," she said, adding that she believes one should not be friends with their exes.

"I don't believe exes should be friends," she said. "Respeto rin sa bago mong partner, at sa bago niyang partner. Ako, you can be civil pero hindi na kayo nakikipag-usap. To me medyo weird 'yun. You can be civil, you don't have any bad feelings against each other but I don't think there should be friendship kasi bakit pa?"

With all the lessons she learned from her past relationships, Verzosa said she considers her heartbreaks as her "biggest teacher in life."

"Feeling ko ang heartbreak is one of the biggest teachers in life. Nagiging bagong tao ka. Nagka-catalyst ang buhay mo parang you go forward or you go backward pero choice mo 'yun. Ako I would prefer to go forward pero mas sine-shed off mo 'yung your own self and try to become a new one. Kaya nagbu-bloom ang mga girls kapag single 'di ba. Hindi ko naman masasabi na greatest things that you can have kasi napakahirap. It's also one of the hardest things that a person can go through, but it will teach you so much," she said.
