Hundreds of social media users laid into US record producer Benny Blanco's supposedly "disrespectful" review of fast food chain Jollibee this week.

In an expletive-laced Tiktok video titled "my first time trying Jollibee", Blanco said he grew up eating Filipino food because "my step-mom is from the Philippines." 

He then went on to say that Jollibee's chicken was "solid". But he criticized the fast food giant's adobo rice, fries, and peach mango pie.

At one point in the 3-minute clip, he spat out a mouthful of the restaurant's spaghetti.  

"I think that's like ruined my night," said Blanco. 

Enraged social media users scored Blanco for his supposed "disrespect" of the Philippine-based fast food chain. 

"You just made some enemies with that Jollibee rudeness," said one user in the comments section. 

"It makes my heart hurt. Jollibee is one of the most fav food of Filipinos, especially the kids here," another said. 

Another comment said, "It’s okay if Jollibee isn’t your thing, but there’s no need for disrespectful comments. Everyone has different tastes and preferences." 

Other commenters alluded to Blanco's new romance with US singer Selena Gomez. 

"Okay, I don't get it Selena," one user said.

As of 1 p.m., Jollibee and Selena were among the top Philippine trends on X, the former Twitter. 

Jollibee Foods Corporation has yet to respond to ABS-CBN News' request for comment as of writing.

Jollibee was founded in the Philippines in 1978. The group now has 19 restaurants in its portfolio and has 1,668 stores across 17 countries as of January.
