MANILA — International pop superstar Beyoncé's country album 'Cowboy Carter' is the "most streamed album in a day" of 2024 so far, online streaming platform said Saturday.

"On Friday, March 29, Beyoncé's COWBOY CARTER became Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far," Spotify said.

Agence France-Presse;s Maggy Donaldson described the album as "a full-throated ode to her southern roots, a rollicking revue of an album that also deals a vital history lesson on the Black lineage of country music." 

Prior to its release, one of it's singles  "Texas Hold 'Em" took the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks.

Ariana Grande's "eternal sunshine" previously held the record as Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 recorded last March 8.
