MANILA -- The country's highest grossing film of all time "Rewind," staring celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, is currently the top movie on Netflix Philippines.

As of writing, the couple's successful comeback film has outranked other foreign movies including "Top Gun," "Damsel" and "Black Adam." It started streaming on Netflix last Monday, March 25.

Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, the Star Cinema film was shown in cinemas nationwide as an official entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Rewind" tells the story of a wife who dies while her marriage is in tatters. Her husband then makes a deal that sends him to the past to turn it around -- in exchange for his life.

Also part of "Rewind" are Pepe Herrera, Sue Ramirez, Joross Gamboa, Lito Pimentel, Ina Feleo, Ariel Ureta, Pamu Pomerada, Mary Joy Apostol, Via Antonio, Chamyto Aguedan, and Coney Reyes.

Star Cinema earlier announced that "Rewind" is the first Philippine movie to earn P900 million in the box office.
