MANILA -- Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca admitted on Tuesday that he was a bit nervous to work with his best friend, Paulo Avelino, in the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama series "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim."

Avelino stars as Brandon Castillo while Cuenca plays his older brother, Cyrus Castillo.

"[It's] not every day you get to work with your best friend," Cuenca said.

Cuenca acknowledged that his role as "Morpheus" is "not the typical" character he has played in his previous projects.

"Hindi siya 'yung typical na parang teleserye, tapos ang dami mong dinadala sa bawat eksena. So you know in a way, nine-nerbyos talaga ako because I'm gonna work with my best friend," he said. "Pero, in the sense of acting I knew he gonna come prepared, so parang mayroon rin akong hinanda. I think ano, magugulat sila kapag napanood na nila yung mga eksena."

"What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" stars Kim Chiu as the titular Kim Liwanag and also features Pepe Herrera, Angeline Quinto, Kaori Oinuma, Gillian Vicencio, Yves Flores, Janice de Belen, Franco Laurel, Romnick Sarmenta, and Cai Cortez.

"What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim" streams exclusively on Viu.
