The management companies behind K-pop star Jihyo of TWICE and Olympic athlete Yun Sung-bin said Monday it was "difficult to confirm" the relationship between the two, following dating rumors, according to a report.

The singer and skeleton racer-turned-TV personality have reportedly been dating for a year after being introduced by an acquaintance and becoming close through a common interest in exercising.

But their agencies found it "difficult to confirm" the rumors, Korean entertainment news portal Soompi reported.

"It is difficult to confirm as it is [the artist's] personal matter. We ask for your understanding," JYP Entertainment, which manages TWICE, was quoted as saying in the Soompi article.

Meanwhile, Sung-bin's agency All That Sports explained, "As he is no longer an active athlete, we do not manage his personal life."

Jihyo entered the K-pop industry in 2015 as a member of the girl group TWICE. She later debuted as a soloist in 2023 through the extended play "Zone."

Apart from being an athlete, Sung-bin is also known for appearing in the Netflix reality competition "Physical 100," which followed 100 participants in a series of physical challenges.
