Actress Kristel Fulgar underwent surgery to remove a tumor found in her left calf.

Fulgar shared her surgery journey in South Korea in her newest vlog released over the weekend.

“I have never imagined that I would be undergoing a biopsy test in my 20s. I can say that this is one of the scariest things I’ve done,” Fulgar admitted.

The former "Goin' Bulilit" star said they first discovered a lump in her leg in August 2022.

The biopsy revealed that Fulgar has schwannoma, which, according to Mayo Clinic,  is "a type of nerve tumor of the nerve sheath" and "the most common type of benign peripheral nerve tumor in adults."

“It was the hardest challenge I faced in my life. It really affected my mental health and triggered my anxiety. There were a lot of ‘what ifs’ and I cried every night to sleep,” Fulgar said.

After a year of contemplating, Fulgar decided to have the operation in South Korea to remove the tumor.
