The show follows plastic surgeon Yeo Jeong-woo (played by Hyung-sik) and anesthesiologist Nam Ha-neul (Shin-hye), former high school rivals who become each other's source of strength after falling into low points of their lives.

In the show's 15th episode, which dropped Saturday (March 16) on Netflix, Jeong-woo enlists the help of Ha-neul's hospital to perform reconstructive surgery on a Filipino child with microtia, a birth defect of a baby's ear.

In one scene, Jeong-woo and the other doctors meet the patient, who talks to them through a Filipino-speaking interpreter.

Noticeably, the child's mother is played by Cherish Maningat, a Filipino extra in K-dramas.

On Instagram, Maningat invited her followers to watch "Doctor Slump" as she shared what appear to be photos on the show's set.

Maningat has also appeared in other K-dramas like "Missing: The Other Side 2" and "Dr. Romantic 2."

Maningat is among several Filipinos who work as extras in K-dramas, which also includes Christian Lagahit, who appeared in the hit survival drama "Squid Game."
