On Wednesday, Min-hyun, best known as a member of the now-disbanded boy band NU'EST, unveiled "Lullaby" along with its accompanying music video.

In the ballad track, Min-hyun showcases his delicate vocals as he delivers a "heartfelt letter" to his fans called Hwangdo, "assuring [them] that their farewell will be brief and he will soon return as a better version of himself," his label Pledis Entertainment said in a statement.

"Through every note and word of the song, I tried to convey warm and comforting energy for Hwangdo," Min-hyun said.

"I want the fans to believe that all moments of darkness will eventually pass, just as spring follows winter and dawn breaks after the night," he added.

The 28-year-old singer is set to enlist in the military on March 21.

All South Korean able-bodied men under the age of 30 are required to serve at least 18 months in the military, mainly because the country remains technically at war with North Korea.

Min-hyun debuted in 2012 as a member of the boy band NU'EST, which disbanded in 2022.

In 2017, Min-hyun joined three other NU'EST members in participating on the survival show "Produce 101."  At the end of the program, Min-hyun ranked ninth, becoming one of the 11 talents that debuted in the boy band Wanna One, which promoted until 2019.

After NU'EST's disbandment, Min-hyun went on to become a soloist, releasing the extended play "Truth or Lie" in February 2023.

Outside of music, Min-hyun has also appeared in TV dramas such as "Alchemy of Souls" and "My Lovely Liar."

Last year, Hwang went to the Philippines for his "Unveil" mini concert.
