MANILA -- Actress Barbie Imperial opened up about her experience filming a kissing scene with actor JM de Guzman for the movie "3 Days 2 Nights in Poblacion."

In an interview during the red carpet premiere of the movie, she admitted feeling a bit awkward during the scene, revealing that it was initially meant to be more intense but she requested director RC delos Reyes to tone it down.

“Parang ewan, nailang ako honestly dun sa kissing scene because dapat mas ano pa yung kiss nun eh basta malala! But then I said baka pwedeng medyo pa sweet lang and then if its needed naman talaga sa pelikula gagawin ko naman talaga,” she said.

Imperial explained that while it was nice to work with De Guzman again, there was a gap since they hadn't seen each other in a long time. 

The two last starred together in the 2018 series "Araw Gabi."

Still, she expressed excitement to collaborate with De Guzman again on a new project, highlighting that they are in a much better place now compared to their rocky relationship post- "Araw Gabi."

According to Imperial, both she and De Guzman have matured. “Okay naman kami talaga, I mean whatever that’s happened in the past, its all in the past and we were younger.”

The movie, which also stars actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, centers around the characters of Gabbi (played by Curtis-Smith) and Charlie (portrayed by Imperial), long-time best friends whose platonic relationship was put to the test during an unexpected stay in Poblacion.
