MANILA — Dominic Roque on Wednesday called Bea Alonzo "a beautiful person inside and out", as he appealed for an end to the "bashing" that followed reports that they had broken up.

"Bea's a beautiful person inside n out...🤍 no hate/bashing/negative things please...🙏🏼," Roque said in the caption of a reposted video with Alonzo.

Talk show host Boy Abunda recently confirmed the couple's breakup.

"Tama si Ogie Diaz, si kaibigang Ogie nung kanyang binalita ...As we talk today, yes, hiwalay po si Dominic at saka si Bea," the host said in his program "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on Tuesday.

But Abunda said Roque and Alonzo were still in the process of fixing their relationship.

"Sinusuyo ba si Bea? Are they still trying to talk? Siguro, maaari, dahil sino ba naman ang ayaw maayos ang ganitong klase ng problema," the talk show host said.

"As a matter of fact, from good sources ay kagabi or nu'ng isa gabi lamang nag-usap uli si Bea at si Dominic, they're trying to understand each other but they're going through a rough patch," he added.

"I am confirming na hiwalay sila ngayon. Last night or two nights nga, nag-usap ang dalawa. Ano ang status? Wala. I think kung tama ang aking source, (si) Bea, isinauli na ang kanyang engagement ring."

Alonzo first confirmed that she was dating Roque in April 2021. The actress announced her engagement to Roque in July 2023.
