South Korean actors Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in are now parents after welcoming their first child on Monday.

Citing a statement from Seung-gi's management company Human Made, Korean entertainment news website Soompi reported Tuesday that the celebrity couple gave birth to a daughter.

"Both the mother and child are in good health, and Lee Seung-gi conveyed the news that he is grateful and happy that a precious life was born safely," Human Made said in the statement published in full by Soompi.

The pair went public with their relationship in May 2021 and married in a star-studded private ceremony last April 2023.

Seung-gi first debuted as a singer with the album "The Dream of a Moth," which spawned the hit "Because You're My Girl." With the single, Seung-gi won Male Rookie of the Year at the Mnet KM Music Video Festival, now known as the MAMA Awards.

He gained further popularity as an actor, starring in TV shows such as "My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho," "A Korean Odyssey" and "Vagabond."

Da-in, meanwhile, appeared in dramas such as "Hwarang," "Alice" and most recently "My Dearest."
