American pop superstar Taylor Swift announced Monday (Manila time) that she is set to release a new album this year.

Swift made the announcement after bagging the Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Album with “Midnights.”

"And so I enter into evidence, My tarnished coat of arms, My muses, acquired like bruises, My talismans and charms, The tick, tick, tick, of love bombs, My veins of pitch black ink," Swift said in the announcement.

"All's fair in love and poetry .. Sincerely, The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department."

During her acceptance speech at the Grammys, Swift said she has been working on the album for two years.

"Thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans," Swift said.

"So I wanna say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the past two years which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th, it's called 'The Tortured Poets Department.' I'm gonna go post the cover right now backstage, Thank you, I love you," she added.

Posting on her social media accounts, Swift said her 11th studio album "The Tortured Poets Department" will drop on April 19.

This is Swift's 11th studio album following the release of "Midnights" in 2022 as she is still in the process of rerecording her first six albums.

Swift has 14 Grammy awards under her belt, including four Album of the Year trophies for "Fearless," "1989," and "folklore," "Midnights."
