MANILA -- Kathryn Bernardo put an end to speculations about her career as she inked her exclusive network contract with ABS-CBN on Friday, accompanied by her mother Min Bernardo and her co-managers Lulu Romero, Allan Real and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi. 

In an exclusive sit-down interview with ABS-CBN News, Bernardo said it’s just normal for an artist like her to receive offers from other entities when a contract expires. 

“I’ve seen the articles the news, and for me naman kasi as a celebrity and siguro I can speak in general for the celebrities, when your contract is ending, normal naman talaga to get offers from different networks, managements, or whatever. Parang it’s a normal thing. And I don't see anything wrong with it sa mga naka-decide na you know na lilipat. Desisyon mo 'yun. we all have the freedom to decide kung sino ang gusto mong mag-manage sa 'yo,” she said.

While there were other offers, her mind was set on remaining with ABS-CBN and Star Magic, mainly because of the harmonious partnership and friendship she has formed with the Kapamilya network for the past 20 years.

“Mabilis ko sigurong nasagot na hindi talaga. Because hindi ko naman siya naisip, 'coz Im very happy with everything now. Especially the partnership and the friendship with Direk Lauren and Star Magic. Hindi ko talaga siya na na-entertain pero there were offers siyempre. But I know deep inside my heart na ABS is my only choice,” she said.

While there are concrete plans as to specific projects Bernardo will be doing, the actress said she is very much open to working with anybody and willing to try new materials that will test her skills.
