What would you do if your loved one turned into a chicken nugget?

Such is the question that seeks to be addressed in Netflix's upcoming South Korean comedy series "Chicken Nugget," starring veteran actor Ryu Seung-ryong and K-drama darling Kim Yoo-jung.

The series, which drops March 15, is about a woman who turns into a chicken nugget after entering a mysterious machine, prompting her father and secret admirer to team up to try and restore her.

Ryu, known for his roles in the drama film "Miracle in Cell No. 7" and hit superhero series "Moving," plays Choi Sun-man, who owns a company called More than Machines.

Kim, who recently featured in the fantasy romance series "My Demon," takes on the role of Choi Min-ah, Sun-man's daughter who undergoes an unusual transformation because of her father's machine.

Joining the duo is actor Ahn Jae-hong (from "Reply 1988" and "Fight for My Way") as Ko Baek-joong, a quirky intern who is secretly in love with Min-ah.

On Thursday, Netflix also unveiled a teaser for "Chicken Nugget," showing Kim's dramatic transformation as well as the comedic antics that Ryu and Ahn's characters go through to resolve the conflict.

The series is written and directed by Lee Byeong-heon, who helmed the hit comedy films "Twenty" and "Extreme Job" as well as the series "Be Melodramatic."

"Chicken Nugget" is among several Korean content that Netflix will release in the first quarter of 2024. The roster also includes the film "My Name is Loh Kiwan," in which Song Joong-ki portrays a North Korean defector; "Queen of Tears" starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won; and a new season of the reality show "Physical: 100."
