MANILA — The prison drama 'Green Bones' swept the major awards at the 50th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival.

These awards include 'Best Picture', 'Best Actor' for Dennis Trillo, 'Best Supporting Actor' for Ruru Madrid, 'Best Screenplay' for Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza and 'Best Child Performer' for Sienna Stevens. 

'Green Bones' took home five awards tied with 'The Kingdom', which took home 2nd Best Picture, Best Director for Michael Tuviera, Best Production Design and Best Visual Effects. The movie also received the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.

'Espantaho' took home one major award and that's the Best Actress trophy for Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo. 

'And the Breadwinner is...' received the Gender Sensitivity Award and Special Jury Citation for Vice Ganda.

'Topakk' recevied Special Jury Prize, Best Float and the FPJ Memorial Award. 

'Isang Himala' got five awards including 4th Best Picture, Special Jury Prize, Best Supporting Actress for Kakki Teodoro, Best Musical Score for Vincent de Jesus and Best Original Theme Song. 

Kapamilya actor Seth Fedelin was completely surprised when he received the Breakthrough Performance Award, given to neophytes in the festival. 

His movie 'My Future You' took home four awards, including Best Editing, 3rd Best Picture and Best Director for Crisanto Aquino.

'Uninvited' won Best Float while Best Sound went to Ditoy Aguila for 'Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital'.
