MANILA -- A new child star is born as the official trailer for Julia Montes' upcoming project "Saving Grace," the Philippine adaptation of the hit Japanese series "Mother," was released on Thursday.

The more than three-minute video introduced Montes' character as teacher Anna, who gets involved with the life of her student Grace (Zia Grace). Teacher Anna tries to help Grace, who is suffering from abuse by her own mother, played by Jennica Garcia.

The preview also showed the acting prowess of child star Zia Grace as she acted emotional scenes with Montes.

One of the heartbreaking scenes was when Grace asked Teacher Anna: "Teacher, bakit nila ako inilagay sa sako? Basura po ba ako?  'Yung nanay ko po ba hindi ako mahal?"

The trailer also introduced the characters of Sharon Cuneta and Sam Milby, who are both working for a TV show. Also part of the cast are Christian Bables, Janice de Belen, and more.

Last month, Dreamscape Entertainment announced that "Saving Grace" will stream on Prime Video starting November 28.

"Saving Grace" is presented by ABS-CBN Studios and Nippon TV, Japan's leading entertainment powerhouse.

"Mother" achieved global success as Asia's most exported scripted format with adaptations in Turkey, South Korea, Ukraine, Thailand, China, France, Spain, Mongolia, and Saudi Arabia.

Also joining the cast are Elisse Joson, Andrez Del Rosario, Sophia Reola, Adrian Lindayag, Aya Fernandez, Mary Joy Apostol, Eric Fructuoso, and Fe De Los Reyes.
