“We went back to shoot at the studios where we filmed the movies. We filmed on the set we filmed on. It was a very surreal thing. It is hard to believe 7 years had gone by. It felt no time had passed at all it was quite eerie, it felt like I was 14 again. It was great to be back,” James said in an interview held in Taguig city.

James revealed that the kitchen itself was built where Hogwarts' Great Hall once stood.

“It wasn’t planned. But when they built the kitchen it was in the soundstage and B stage, and that was where the Great Hall used to be. I told the producer, but it was chance,” he recalled.

According to the pair, each episode, centered around a new theme, encouraged bakers to bring their personal interpretations and experiences of the saga to life, offering fresh perspectives and unique takes on the legacy the beloved franchise left.

“We learned what characters mean to people and what stories mean to people… A lot of these bakers their experience of Watching Harey Potter was different from ours — they would say we watched movies back home we would eat this or they would be reminded be reminded of this,” Oliver explained.

Oliver also highlighted the show’s global flavor— with one of the memorable spellbinding edible pieces made by a contestant with Filipino roots.

“One of the contestants was from the Philippines and incorporated a bit of local food and culture... There simply so much richness, it is not just sugar, butter, make a cake. They throw so much into it,” he said.

Apart from promoting the exciting new offering, James and Oliver Phelps were the special guests at an event where they inaugurated the ceremonial Christmas tree lighting inspired by the “Harry Potter.”
