MANILA -- BINI's catchy hit "Cherry on Top" recently made its way to the halftime show of an NBA game -- much to the surprise of the members of the Nation's Girl Group.

The Clippers Spirit, the official dance team of the Los Angeles Clippers, danced along to the song at the half of the Clippers' game against the Toronto Raptors last Sunday at the Intuit Dome in California.

The performance was part of the celebration of the Clippers' Filipino Heritage Night, and the Clippers Spirit were joined by several Filipino performers.

"Akala namin fake news!" BINI Aiah said of their reaction to the news.

"Parang cinonfirm pa po namin kung totoo yun," BINI Gwen said.

"We still have a long way to go, definitely, but we wanna go international. At the same time, we wanna bring Filipino music everywhere in the world," added BINI Mikha.

On their official X [formerly Twitter] account, BINI had thanked the Clippers Spirit for their performance.

"Thank you for bringing BINI and the Pinoy spirit to the NBA!" they said. -- with Kennedy Caacbay, ABS-CBN News
