MANILA -- The suspense movie "Pasahero" officially premiered last Monday at SM City North Edsa.

"Pasahero" is now showing at SM Cinemas nationwide until November 5 as part of the Halloween-themed film festival called "Sine Sindak."

The film stars Louise delos Reyes, Bea Binene, Yumi Garcia, Katya Santos, Mark Anthony Fernandez, and Andre Yllana, among others.

Directed by Roman Perez Jr., the film follows Michelle (Delos Reyes) during a late-night commute where she gets assaulted, while her fellow passengers turn a blind eye. Consequently, the passengers are left haunted by their inaction.

Binene, who plays the character of Angel, was present at the premiere night and encouraged everyone to see the film.

"We ask for your help to promote Sine Sindak 5 and Pasahero, October 30 na po sa mga SM Cinemas nationwide," she said.

Delos Reyes also thanked everyone who made the time to attend the event.

"Maraming maraming salamat po sa lahat ng pumunta ngayon espcially sa mga kaibigan po namin from the press. Sana po maenjoyn ninyo," she said.

Jeffrey Hidalgo was also in attendance to support "Pasahero."

"Ang ganda. Sayang lang R-16 siya eh. Sana mas mababa 'yung rating. But I guess dahil dun sa subject matter but I'm really very excited," he said.

Meanwhile, Sam Shoaf expressed his excitement about watching the film.

"I have very high expectations dito sa movie. Alam ko po talaga na matatakot ako -- intense, thriller," he said.

"I love horror movies pero I'll be honest po nakakatakot talaga kaya medyp iniiwasan ko. Pero for tonight sabi ko po talaga 'Pasahero' I'll watch it," he said.
