Pricing, new titles: What to expect in Max launch in PH

Expect new titles with the launch of the online streaming platform Max in the Philippines next month.

The platform will be offering titles from HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Discovery, AFN, Cartoon Network and HGTV.

Some of the titles viewers can expect upon the app's release are "Dune Prophecy" on November 19, "Creatures Commandos "on December 5, and "Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking."

In the Philippines, here are the price offerings available when they download it via App Store and Google Play:

Mobile (1-month plan at ₱149 | 12-month plan at ₱1,040): Consumer can stream on one mobile device at once with Standard HD video resolution and they can watch only on mobile phone and tablet with 15 downloads to watch on the go.

Standard (1-month plan at ₱269 | 12-month plan at ₱1,890): Consumer can stream on two devices at once with Full HD video resolution and they can watch on more devices, including TVs with 30 downloads to watch on the go.

Ultimate (1-month plan at ₱399 | 12-month plan at ₱2,790): Consumers can stream on four devices at once with 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos as available and they can watch on more devices, including TVs with 100 downloads to watch on the go (limits apply).

Max incorporates online streaming platforms design to have up to five unique profiles and product highlights such as localization that gives viewers the option to choose dubbing or subtitles, kid-friendly viewing, among others.

In October, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Max is coming Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong, bringing a diverse range of entertainment content to millions of viewers in the region.
