MANILA — "Lavender Fields" lead actress Jodi Sta. Maria gets candid in answering the question -- is she ready to get married again after finally getting her annulment?

Sta. Maria waited 13 years for her annulment with ex-husband Pampi Lacson to be granted, and after the long wait, will she ever consider tying the knot again?

"Napaka-fresh nung annulment. It is something that has never crossed my mind. Pero isa lang ang alam ko, I have never lost faith in love," she said.

"If one day it happens, it happens. There are some things na hindi mo pinipilit. You pray about it, if it happens, it happens."

And if that day comes that Sta. Maria's rumored significant other today gets down on his knees and propose, she just gave a huge laugh.

The actress is riding high with the success of her primetime series "Lavender Fields," not just on free television but also in Netflix, consistently the most watch TV show in the Philippines in that platform.

ABS-CBN News asked the award-winning actress if the load or burden of the annulment has helped her breeze through the back-to-back projects she's been doing. She's also starring in a horror movie under Regal Films entitled "Untold."

"Alam mo 'yang annulment na 'yan, matagal ko 'yang hindi na iniisip. I've been praying about it for 13 years nga di ba? But there was a point in my life na I felt so tired, na parang ang dami kong kailangan gawin. But when I finally surrendered it to the Lord, 'Sige God, parang Thy will be done!' Alam mo after nu'n, parang lahat ng weight has been lifted. And all I did was, I just had to wait kung kelan Niya ibibigay, and then it happened."

She continued, "Kung may lightness ba sa trabaho kasi tapos na 'yung annulment, yes kahit papaano. May mga bagay ka na na hindi mo na iniisip. Pero matagal nang magaan 'yung trabaho for me, 'coz I've always seen this (work) as a blessing from the Lord."
