ILLIT made its first comeback on Monday, releasing its second extended play (EP) "I'll Like You" that aims to highlight the K-pop girl group's fresh and distinct charms.

"We aim to showcase more of ILLIT's candid charms while also challenging ourselves to expand our musical color with new song styles," Minju, one of the group's five members, said via an interpreter in an online media showcase.

The five-track EP is fronted by the dance-pop track "Cherish (My Love)."

"Our lead single says, 'I want to know how you feel about me but my feelings for you are more important than just that,'" leader Yunah said, explaining the song's message.

"We put so much effort into the song, recording it seven times. It has truly helped us grow to the next level," she added.

"I'll Like You" is the group's first new music since debuting in March with the EP "Super Real Me," fronted by the single "Magnetic."

"I think I'm even more nervous and excited than our debut day because this is our first comeback," Wonhee said.

"Magnetic" became the first-ever debut song by a K-pop act to enter the Billboard Hot 100 song charts, peaking at No. 91.

Formed through the reality competition series "R U Next?", ILLIT—which also includes Moka and Iroha—is managed by Belift Lab, the sub-label of K-pop giant Hybe that also houses boy band ENHYPEN.
