BINI performs at HIS7ORY anniversary event at the Mall of Asia Arena, October 20, 2024. Jaehwa Bernardo, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA — BINI, dubbed the "Nation's Girl Group," shared the stage with K-pop stars Hwasa of Mamamoo and Rain at a local event on Sunday.

The eight-member group was the penultimate act for the concert proper of "HIS7ORY," which marked the seventh anniversary of a local multi-level marketing company at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Greeted by resounding cheers, Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha and Sheena kicked off their set with "Cherry on Top."

"Grabe ang opportunity to be a part of this event!" Jhoanna said.

Accompanied by a live band, the octet also dished out "Karera" and "Salamin Salamin."

The girls wrapped up their show-stopping set with "Pantropiko," urging the crowd to stand up and join in on the song's viral choreography.

Rain, who gained international popularity in the 2000s, served as an apt closing performer, offering high-energy and engaging performances that included "Gang" and "It's Raining."

"I missed you guys! I'm so happy to be here. It feels amazing to be back here with all of you," Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, told the audience.

During "La Song," the 42-year-old artist had the crowd on their feet and jumping as he stepped off the stage to party with them.

Rain turned up the heat with his body waves during the slow jam "Love Song," then took the audience by surprise by going fully shirtless, showing off his well-sculpted physique during his signature hit "Rainism."

Hwasa opened the concert proper with "I Love My Body," followed by her latest single "Na."

The 29-year-old idol's repertoire also included "Twit," "Don't Give," "Maria" and "Chili."

Hwasa, whose real name is Ahn Hye-jin, said she still recalled how passionate Filipino fans were during Mamamoo's concert in Manila last February 2023.

"Because of that memory, every time I come to the Philippines, it gets me excited," she said via an interpreter.

Hwasa capped off her set with a medley of Mamamoo singles, including "Decalcomanie," "Egotistic," "Starry Night," "Hip" and "Dingga."

This is not the first time BINI has appeared at the same stage as international artists, previously performing alongside K-pop group Red Velvet at the "Be You" concert and, more recently, various Asian artists at the ASIYA music festival.

BINI is also gearing up for its Grand BINIverse concert, set to take place at the Araneta Coliseum on November 16-18.
