The cast and director of upcoming Netflix zombie movie "Outside." Ganiel Krishnan, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA -- Netflix's latest zombie thriller, "Outside," is set to take audiences by storm, and its star-studded cast, including Sid Lucero, Beauty Gonzales, and Marco Masa couldn't be more excited.

"I'm excited. It's a personal film; there's nothing to be nervous about," said Lucero, who played the role of Francis. "We're just excited to show what we've been working on for the entire month and the rest of the production for a year."

Gonzales, for her part, welcomes the pressure that comes with the film.

While the film centers around the outbreak, it also tackles deeper issues like mental health, a theme close to Lucero's heart.

"When I read the script, I knew the writer wanted to address something very personal, particularly mental health. In my own family, I could probably map out who has what. Here in the Philippines, mental health awareness isn't such a big deal. A few years ago, we even had a leader saying, 'Ano ba ang depression? Edi maging masaya ka,' without understanding that it's a real issue. The movie explores how mental health affects us and future generations. A child's behavior could be traced back through the family—was it their mother, their father? It's an ongoing cycle, and it's such an important topic to discuss," he said.
