P-pop star to compete in K-pop survival show 'Universe League'

On its official X account, Korean broadcaster SBS's upcoming program "Universe League" announced that JL, a member of the P-pop boy band PLUUS, will be competing on the show.

PLUUS shared the post on their account, writing, "Show your support to our dearest JL."

JL is one of 42 contestants in the program, representing the Philippines as the sole participant alongside contestants from South Korea, China, Japan and Thailand.

On its YouTube channel, "Universe League" also unveiled a trailer for the show, which features some of the participants.

The program is scheduled to premiere on November 22.

"Universe League" serves as the second season and male counterpart of "Universe Ticket," the program that formed the K-pop girl group UNIS, whose members include Filipinos Elisia Parmisano and Gehlee Dangca as well as Korean-Filipino Jin Hyeon-ju.

JL debuted in the P-pop industry in 2023 as a member of the six-piece PLUUS under SBTown.
