Voting lines for Krem-Top songwriting tilt now open

MANILA -- Coffee creamer brand Krem-Top is out to usher in the new sound of original Pilipino music (OPM) as it searches for the next breed of young songwriters and musicians.

The 10 semifinalists of Krem-Top’s Bagong Timpla Songwriting Competition were recently presented to the media at a press launch.

"We want to focus [na hanapin] ‘yung bagong tunog, ‘yung tunog ng generation na ‘to kaya Bagong Timpla,” said Inigo Pascual, who together with Joshua Garcia, Yassi Pressman, and Ronnie Alonte were also introduced as the new Krem-Top Barkada ambassadors.

The competition was open to Filipino amateur songwriters, 18 to 24 years old. From the Top 10, only five composers will be picked as finalists and perform at the Bagong Timpla concert on December 8 at Trinoma in Quezon City.

The winner will receive P50,000 plus the chance to star in an exclusive music video.

The public can vote for the most catchy and relatable song on Krem-Top’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page. Just like and share the digital gigs and it will be counted as a vote.

You may also visit the Krem-Top Café in different locations and watch the videos in sound-trip booths.
