MANILA -- Vice Ganda is cautious not to assume that Calvin Abueva’s sweet gestures during a recent basketball match were intended for him, but the comedian’s companion at the time, Ryan Bang, insists the cager was quite specific with the direction of his actions from the court.

In a photographed moment after the Phoenix-Meralco game last Friday, Abueva took off his jersey and handed it to Vice Ganda, before they shared a hug.

But according to Bang, that was not the only “kilig” moment between the two that day.

During the live episode of “It’s Showtime” on Wednesday, Bang recalled that Abueva did not only dedicate a score to Vice Ganda by pointing at him, the Phoenix player also supposedly winked at the comedian whom he has referred to as a “sweet friend.”

Vice Ganda initially dismissed the teasing, but could not help but laugh along with “kilig” when his other co-hosts chimed in.

The topic then shifted to Abueva committing to send food to the “It’s Showtime” cast, following a phone conversation with Vice Ganda that was put on loud speaker during Tuesday’s live telecast.

The “Fantastica” star has recently become more open about his friendship with Abueva, with whom he was first linked romantically when they were spotted together in September.

Both have denied, in separate interviews, that they are romantically involved, with Vice Ganda insisting that the “Beast” is only a friend who is refreshingly proud of their closeness.
